Project historyProject «Let’s do it, Ukraine!» is a part of an international initiative«Lets do it!».2008 - 50 000 volunteers in Estonia collected100 000 tons of trash2010 - 100 000 participants organized cleaning in Portugal2010 - 250 000 participants organized cleaning in Slovenia2010 - 100 000 participants organized cleaning in Lithuania2010 - 150 000 participants organized cleaning in Latvia2010 - 200 000 participants organized cleaning in Romania2011 - project organized in Ukraine for the 1st time, 22000 participants in 56 cities2012 - project organized in Ukraine for the 2nd time , 51000 participants in 110 cities
Project goals“Let’s do it, Ukraine!” is a noncommercial and non-political action.Our goal – is not just to clean up green zones from trash, but alsochange Ukrainian citizens’ attitude to their living space andencourage their conscious needs to keep the surrounding clean andto take care about the environment.We believe, after cleaning the littered area once, person becomes moreresponsible for the environment and will never litter again. Due to thenational reach, project becomes large-scale, patriotic and gains elementsof environmental education.We’re deeply thankful to all the people, companies, organizations thatshared their work, time, materials and resources,- it has become asignificant contribution for the project!
