Dzierżoniów my town

  1. 1.  South – west of Poland in Lower Silesia region on Pilawa river.  The community was founded as Reichenbach in the 12th century and received town rights in the 13th .
  2. 2.    Dzierżoniow is a small town with 33 700 people living here but each year the inhabitatnts number increases. Polish language is spoken in Dzierżoniów. English, German, Italian, French and Russian foreign languages are being taught at schools in Dzierżoniów.

  4. 4.  When the city returned to Poland in 1945 it was renamed for the Polish priest and apiarist Jan Dzierżon. Jan Dzierżon (1811-1906)
