  4. 4. State Bird <br />West Virginia’s state bird is the Cardinal. <br />It was named the official state bird on <br /> March 7th, 1949.<br />
  5. 5. Governor and Senators <br />The governor is Joe Manchin III. <br />The senators are Robert Byrd and Jay Rockefeller.<br />
  6. 6. State Parks and Forests<br />West Virginia has 38 state parks and 9 state forests.<br />The best known state park is Black Water Falls.<br />
