Mission of the Organization <ul><li>FRI unites active Ukrainian youth who maintain proactive positions in national issues of current importance. </li></ul><ul><li>FRI was established with an aim of institutional strengthen of youth movements. </li></ul><ul><li>FRI provides active Ukrainian youth with information on educative programs and trainings and in this way contributes to personal and professional development of youth. </li></ul><ul><li>FRI provides support to overall regional youth initiatives. </li></ul>

History of organization <ul><li>2002 – establishment of a local NGO “Foundation of Regional Initiatives” (FRI) in City Uzhgorod (Western Ukraine). </li></ul><ul><li>2004 – establishment of 20 organizations in 17 local districts. </li></ul><ul><li>2004 – FRI became national organization as it had registered organizations in every administrative district of Ukraine. </li></ul><ul><li>Today we have 53 registered local FRI organizations. </li></ul><ul><li>Registered organizations in all districts of Ukraine. </li></ul>

FRI and its members <ul><li>FRI counts about 1000 members who are registered as members and actively participate in life of the organization. </li></ul><ul><ul><li>53 registered local organizations elect their local Head and Board. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>These organizations are united into All-Ukrainian Youth Organization Foundation of Regional Initiatives. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>FRI prepares members to active political life, as well as to active participation in business, culture, science etc. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>As a result of our trainings we have 22 deputies in local self-government of different levels. </li></ul></ul>

Structure of Organization <ul><li>All-National FRI </li></ul><ul><li>Council of Elders: </li></ul><ul><li>Anna BEZNOEVA, Vyacheslav GUSYEV, Ruslan LEBID, Vitaliy SHABUNIN, Anatoliy SHALAEV. </li></ul><ul><li>Monitoring Committee: </li></ul><ul><li>Andriy SHEKETA (Head of the Board), Tamila TASHEVA, Sergiy KHVOROV, Dmytro LYUBCHAK, Volodymyr FESKOV. </li></ul><ul><li>Head of All-Ukrainian FRI: </li></ul><ul><li>Oleksandr SOLONTAY. </li></ul><ul><li>Deputy Head </li></ul><ul><li>Svitlana GARASHCHENKO. </li></ul><ul><li>Secretary International (Head of Department of International Cooperation): </li></ul><ul><li>Dana DEPO </li></ul><ul><li>Local FRI Organizations </li></ul><ul><li>Follows the structure of the All-Ukrainian FRI depending on amount of its members; </li></ul><ul><li>Elaborates independently projects focused on issues of current importance in the local community; </li></ul><ul><li>Most of Local FRI Orgs consist of: </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Head of Local FRI </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Board of Local FRI. </li></ul></ul>

International Projects <ul><li>Implementation of Ukrainian-Kazakh projects that aimed to design and establish youth magazine “ZaDelo!” (“Let’s get to work”) and to establish a net of youth activities jointly with Youth Informational Service of Kazakhstan in frames of a project “Youth Direction”. </li></ul><ul><li>Conduction of a project “Big Trash of a Big City” by FRI branch in Dnipropetrovsk, Slovak Organization “People in Trouble”, and Fond “Europe XXI”. </li></ul><ul><li>Implementation of joint German-Polish-Ukrainian project of cooperation called “EuroBus”. </li></ul><ul><li>Celebration of Days of Europe in Novuj Rozdil town, jointly with the Embassy of Greece in Ukraine and representatives from Ministry of Education and Greece. </li></ul>

National Projects <ul><li>On-going long-term projects are: </li></ul><ul><li>Project “Nasha Myzuka” (“Our Music” – aiming to promote Ukrainian national music among Ukrainian youth); </li></ul><ul><li>Contest of caricature “Kryve Dzerkalo”; </li></ul><ul><li>Monitoring of implementation of youth policy by governmental institutions and party organizations; </li></ul><ul><li>Project “Nashe Kino” (“Our Cinema”); </li></ul><ul><li>Annual Summer Camp “Leader” that takes place in July and is based under Goverla Mountain. </li></ul>
