  3. 3. Oobeya basics • Clear problem statement and targets • Includes: – Quantification, entire scope – Balanced, differentiates between internal, external • Decomposition: – Break down for each team/member – 60% accurate OK, to start – Improve accuracy as you go – +/- limits
  4. 4. Roles and Responsibilities • Leader: – Define targets – Maintain time, content , priority discipline – Are activities sufficient to reach the target? – Balance workload – Ensure participation, skill development
  5. 5. Roles and Responsibilities • Member: – Deliver solution – Define activities and tasks to meet targets – Report ahead/behind on targets – Define and resolve issues in a kind way
  6. 6. Checklist for Oobeya • Clear problem statement • Targets clear and decomposed (internal and external) • Roles and responsibilities are defined and followed • Problem solving skill (kind issue) – Clear, concise, constructive – Contains analysis or recommendation
