3. Understand Your Target Audience
Before you start writing or selecting pictures,
make sure that you understand who you want
to reach. Is your brochure technical or is it
being written for a general audience? Your
brochure design will depend upon who you
want to reach.

4. Include a Call to Action
What do you want your
audience to do? Do you
want them to attend a onetime event or purchase
your product over the long
haul? Be very clear within
your brochure about how
they can get tickets or talk
to a customer service
representative to begin
buying your product.

5. Create an Overall Look
Select your fonts and be
consistent. Choose your
language carefully and
don't overwrite. Brochure
design and printing can
create an overall positive
first impression and either
invite customers to read
on or encourage them to
deposit it into a trash can
unread.

6. Determine the Dimensions
Are you going to be mailing the brochure or
handing it out in person. A DL brochure defines
the dimensions. Make sure that you select one
a size that will easily fit into an envelope to be
delivered in pristine condition to your target
audience.

7. Organize the Information
Keeping people's attention is
critical. Make sure that you
keep them wanting more.
Ask a question an end of a
section and make sure that
the next page contains the
answer. Your brochure will be
more successful if you are
able to keep your reader
engaged.

8. Use A High Quality Printing Process
The overall look of your
brochure is important. If you
choose a less expensive
printing option, your brochure
will not be as attractive. Offset
printing does an excellent job.
Even though it may cost a little
more, your results are likely to
be much greater with a quality
printing job.
