  2. 2. HOW TO CREATE A COMPELLING TAGLINE<br />What is a tagline?<br /><ul><li>A statement in a few words used in conjunction with an organisations’ name or logo to help bring the organisations’ brand to mind when someone needs a related product or service.
  3. 3. It should advertise truthfully by delivering a clear and powerful brand message to the intended audience in seven words or less (three to four words being ideal).
  4. 4. A compelling tagline should be able to communicate something about who you are and what makes your organisation different.
  5. 5. It should be a summary of your marketing message or value proposition and able to be used a wrap up statement in your 30 second organisational elevator speech.
  6. 6. Successful taglines can be used for various lengths of time. Long term as part of a complete organisational branding strategy or short term in relation to a to a new product and/or service launch or a specific advertising campaign.
