1. Recommendation letter for Lara MICHEL
Dear Hiring Manager,
It is with great pleasure that I write to you this letter of recommendation for Lara. Shortly after her
hiring at Lidl France, I became her direct manager and this until her departure in 2014. During this time
we worked together closely and I had therefore the opportunities to assess her many qualities that
would undoubtedly make a great asset for your company.
As a project manager in the IT Department, she lead many interesting projects and always managed to
deliver the outcome in accordance with the expected quality and time frame. Though she had no prior
experience related to IT, she quickly dive into the subject and was rapidly effective. Her good redaction
skills and her good analysis of the client needs lead her to write some of the best functional
specifications I had the chance to read.
Her people skills are also top-notch. She lead meeting in an effective way, always steering the
participants toward results and trying to avoid fruitless discussions. One of the key parts of her job was
also to establish and maintain good relationships with our internal clients. She did that in great fashion
and some of these persons were genuinely sad and worried when she left.
Finally, she’s a great fit in a team. She was well appreciated from her colleagues and was always
available to lend a helping hand. Moreover, she was very active to initiate extra-professional activities
in order to strengthen the team’s cohesion.
In conclusion, I’d like to stress my positive support for Lara’s application. I’m confident that her skills
and her personality will match, even exceed, your expectations. I sincerely regret to this day her
