Language localization is the process of translating a product into different languages and adapting what is said to a specific country or region. It is the second phase of a larger process of product translation and cultural adaptation (for specific countries, regions or groups) to account for differences in distinct markets. According to BusinessWeek, “If any industries can be considered recession-proof, the field of interpreting and translation may be one, especially as business transactions across borders increase. A U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics report projects 42 percent growth in the industry from 2010 to 2020.”
