• Well fluids are often a complex mixture of liquid
hydrocarbons, gas & some impurities. It is necessary
to remove:
– Gas & most of the impurities from liquid hydrocarbons
– Liquid hydrocarbons & objectionable impurities from
natural gas
– Impurities are Salts, Water vapor, Hydrogen sulfide,
Carbon-di-oxide, Free water, Nitrogen etc…
