3. 3. Mode

Performative: we will participate in the documentary within different scenarios such as the eating experiment

Expository: introduced throughout documentary I.e. stats of obesity

Observational: fly on the wall approach within interviews.

 4. 4. Scenarios

Experiments to see if food affects people in different ways. We will eat a certain food once a day for two weeks and see the effects between the group.

 5. 5. Viable

Live in London= Fast food, gyms and people everywhere for our analyses.

Approach gym and fast food outlets for permission to film and ask questions- contacts will allow this!

 8. 8. Inspiration

Supersize me: very performative doc outlines the problems of fast-food within America, got huge success due to the controversy and scenarios.

Bowling for columbine: yet another performative but included many interviews and pieces of expository modes.

 9. 9. Further research

Research statistics from a viable source.

Research into history will keep us well informed.

Example of statics from http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/7909865.stm

The NHS Information Centre statistics revealed there were 2,724 operations, including stomach stapling and gastric bypasses to reduce stomach size.

Overall, hospital admissions in 2007-8 caused directly by obesity topped 5,000 once strokes and heart problems were included - a 30% rise.

One in four adults are obese, but only the most severe qualify for surgery

 10. 10. Target Audience

Aimed 15-21 year olds

On a study of 15 males and 15 females we were able to establish and obtain many statistics and an audience research which told us our intended audience are interested and they are effected by our soon to be documentary.

 11. 11. The larger picture

This extract will be at the start of the documentary.

It will pick up on the key issues but we will NOT come up with a conclusion.

If it was a full doc we would finish the scenario and examine the results plus find out who really is to blame.

 12. 12. What channel?

BBC 3 or Channel 4 as this doc is controversial as it looks into the parents faults and media propaganda- it may outrage people!

 13. 13. Going global!

Main nations such as U.S.A, France, Italy, Spain are showing an increase within obesity THIS AFFECTS THEM!

 14. 14. Outline of documentary

This documentary tries to find out how young people in the U.K are being affected in the U.K. and who’s fault it really is.

We will go to the public, schools, restaurants and gyms to find out their opinion and what they want to do about it.

 15. 15. Music

The music to be included in the documentary will be a different range of genres to appropriately fit the documentary.

Comedic song-writer Weird Al Yankovich’s “ Eat it” may be included to add a comical effect to the documentary.

The Fast-Food Rockers’ “Fast-food song” may also be included to also add a comedic effect.
