Schools involved <ul><li>City of London Academy- 75 pupils </li></ul><ul><li>Alma Primary- 30 pupils </li></ul><ul><li>Southwark Park Primary- 45 pupils </li></ul><ul><li>Surrey Square Juniors – 50 pupils </li></ul><ul><li>Bacons CTC- 75 pupils </li></ul><ul><li>Alfred Salter- 30 pupils </li></ul><ul><li>Albion- 20 pupils </li></ul><ul><li>Redriff- 40 pupils </li></ul><ul><li>Peter Hills -20 pupils </li></ul>tomorrow within today tomorrow within today

The Project <ul><li>Funding obtained from London Challenge Transition Fund. </li></ul><ul><li>Project launched after KS2 SATS. </li></ul><ul><li>Copies of books available in both secondary schools and 7 feeder primaries for Year 6 and 7 groups to borrow, read, and discuss and review on the blog. </li></ul>tomorrow within today tomorrow within today

Visits <ul><li>Year 6 teachers met with secondary English teachers and librarians at the secondary schools. </li></ul><ul><li>The librarians visited all 7 feeder primaries with Year 7 students who were ex-pupils of the school to take books and introduce the project. </li></ul>tomorrow within today
  6. 6. Drama Workshops <ul><li>Drama specialist employed to work in all participating schools for one day each bringing the books to life and engaging pupils. </li></ul>tomorrow within today

The Blog <ul><li>Pupils post reviews, comments and votes on CoLA blog http://blog.cityacademy.co.uk </li></ul><ul><li>Over 300 blogs are written over the 5 weeks of the project! </li></ul><ul><li>All pupils and teachers meet on morning of July 10th to celebrate the winning book. </li></ul>tomorrow within today
