Why are we here? We are here to share some information about planning family holidays and finding the best value with the right experience. We are in the business of bringing extraordinary experiences, to life. We aren’t trying to sell you something. Instead, we feel that it is a special honour to be part of your experience with the goal to make it better right from the beginning to when you return with your photos. At the heart of things – what makes us love what we do is a desire to be knowledgeable, helpful and serve you. There are a lot of choices and noise out there and Moms are usually the ones left with the task of finding the perfect thing for their family. We are used to such pressures but what if you had a partner with the right expertise at your ready, too assist? To assist in the formulation of the vision of what you want, the planning, searching, presenting options and getting you booked and prepared for your new memories ahead. What do we do? We match you up. This is sort of a much shorter version of an e-harmony approach. We ask you some questions and then we search for what you desire and send you a proposal with some choices. We will make you aware of anything that could affect your experience. Once you are ready, we get you booked, look after any special requests with the place you’ve chosen and send you tips and advice before you leave. For Barbados specifically, we have staff on the island to take care of things if needed. The great part is that our prices are usually better than or match the big guys such as Expedia, Travelocity, CAA etc. You don’t pay us for this type of concierge service – our suppliers pay us. We can also negotiate groups rates and extras that can’t be negotiated privately.
Given the time of year, we are going to focus on the south and the Caribbean. The word Caribbean gets used a lot implying a group of sameness. I am going to spend a little bit of time highlighting some unique features of some of the islands. It is the beginning which helps you to fine tune your vision and narrow down the search for the best experience with the most value. I’ve picked these islands from our experience, clients (family) visits and which are comfortable and welcoming to families and why. Hurricane season and belt: June to November First you must consider where the island is located. All of the islands have beautiful sand beaches but each one has it's own unique aspects. Some islands like Barbados, St. Lucia, Aruba and Curacao are farther south and considered to be outside of the "hurricane belt". During "hurricane season", which is usually considered to be from June until the end of November, your chances of encountering a full hurricane hit are smaller on these islands. Although, there are never any guarantees with weather.
For budgeting, most resorts: 14+ = adult, < 12 eat/stay free, < 8 half price, 0-2 free. Prices increase for the adult price but usually not the kids (set pricing not matter what season). Travel medical insurance policies might not cover everything if policy is credit card or employee benefit programs.
The Island of Cuba, the largest in the Antilles. With almost 6000km of beaches of white sand, its tropical flora covering its many mountains, its colonial cities and its peaceful countryside, it is easy to fall under its charm. The European and African influences, mixed with the aboriginals and Asians, gave birth to a very characteristic and diversified people. They are a warm people and very sympathetic. Their blood is hot, especially when the hypnotic rhythms of Cuban music are heard nearby. Its main attraction has always been its marvellous beach, but this isn't all it has to offer. You can explore its caves and escarpments, a necklace of virgin cays that are easy to get to and the carefully preserved natural landscape at the north eastern end of the peninsula. In addition, Cárdenas, the nearby city of Matanzas, the Zapata Peninsula and the San Miguel de los Baños Spa offer cultural, historic and natural attractions. Varadero is a free port and has exceptionally good conditions for scuba diving, deep-sea fishing, yachting and other water sports. Also, Havana is a short trip away. Havana is a one-off. Sitting pretty as the Caribbean’s largest and most vivacious city, its romantic atmosphere and infectious energy are the stuff of legend. Where else do you find vintage American cars running off Russian Lada engines, ration shops juxtaposed against gleaming colonial palaces, and revolutionary sloganeering drowned out by all-night parties? Habaneros (inhabitants of Havana) love their city and it’s not difficult to see why. Amid the warm crystalline waters of the sparkling Caribbean, over 500 years of roller-coaster history have conspired to create one of Latin America’s most electric and culturally unique societies. SANTA CLARA There are beautiful pools. It is a quiet place to relax, with lots of activities such as snorkeling, kayaking, paddle boats, windsurfing, catamarans, introductory scuba diving is available in pool, tennis, volleyball (pool & beach), water polo, aerobics, dance lessons, daily activities, nightly entertainment and a disco. Santa Maria is farther from the airport but private, less crowded and has its own mini town (pueblo) and 11 km of spectacular powder white sand. It is in a very unique destination 1.5 hours transfer from the airport accessible by a recently built causeway linking the mainland to the keys (cayos). Although the island is well known for its tropical beauty, reggae music, and cuisine, you may find that your interactions with local residents are what you truly remember. Jamaica was the birthplace of the Caribbean all-inclusive resort, a concept that started in Ocho Rios and has spread throughout the island, now comprising the lion's share of hotel rooms. Package prices usually include airport transfers, accommodations, three meals a day, snacks, all bar drinks (often including premium liquors) and soft drinks, a full menu of sports options (including scuba diving and golf at high-end establishments), nightly entertainment, and all gratuities and taxes. At most all-inclusive resorts, the only surcharges are for such luxuries as spa and beauty treatments, telephone calls, tours, vow-renewal ceremonies, and weddings (though even weddings are often included at high-end establishments). The all-inclusive market is especially strong with couples and honeymooners. To maintain a romantic atmosphere (no Marco Polo games by the pool), some resorts have minimum age requirements ranging from 12 to 18. Other properties court families with tempting supervised kids' programs, family-friendly entertainment, and in-room amenities especially for young travelers. Negril is unique in its equal ambit of beach and cliff, its numerous eccentric characters, its laid back atmosphere, its friendliness! Like the sun setting dramatically over the sea, and returning each morning, we hope that you will return after sampling the diversity that is Negril. For years, Negril's 7 mile stretch of beach has been rated as one of the top ten beaches in the world by many travel magazines. The north end of the beach is home to the large, all-inclusive resorts, and to the south are the smaller, family-run hotels. This combination gives the Negril area a large variety of rooms, services and prices. Runaway Bay Just ten miles west of Ocho Rios, Runaway Bay's stunning beaches see far fewer footprints than its neighbours. It's also removed from the cruise ship herds and pushy vendors. Perfect for those happy not to wander far from their resort, there are a few nearby attractions nonetheless. Bob Marley's childhood home and mausoleum is in nearby Nine Mile. Jamaican history is on view at Seville Great House and at Columbus Park Museum.

This small island is a true jewel for tourists seeking out a tropical destination with a touch of European flair. Although many nationalities have shaped the culture, the Dutch influence is particularly present in the language, the architecture and the windmill-turned-restaurant. Aruba has a wonderful culinary reputation and a bold and exciting nightlife with numerous clubs, evening shows and casinos. Oranjestad, the island's capital, is a paradise for shoppers. Sun seekers will rejoice. Very “packaged island”: bold culinary, shopping, casinos, nightlife. Aruba's coast is surrounded by beaches of pure white sand which are particularly rugged and beautiful on the northern side. The unusual shape of the divi-divi trees, trunk bent by constant trade winds, is also a symbol of the island. Inland Aruba is more reminiscent of a desert landscape with cacti, aloe and dramatic rock formations.
