The thin-film-composite (TFC) hollow fiber membrane features an ultrathin (typically 100-200nm) functional layer coated on the high strength polymeric porous support. This unique structure as well as its high strength renders the TFC hollow fiber membrane to have a very high potential in many applications such as concentration and purification in food and beverage industries, separation in pharmaceutical industries, and water treatment.
Having been successfully developed and integrated into one inch modules, this high performance membrane product has already been applied in a pilot to showcase how the advanced TFC hollow fiber membrane can be employed to effectively harvest clean energy from waste streams.
