Motivation letter
It is very hard to write how much my life has changed in the last three years. Even
though I graduated in Law, following my family footsteps, three years ago I could not
pursue this path. For I was confronted with a new challenge: admit to myself that my
true passion was and had always been - Fashion. And by facing this I realized that I
need to leave my comfort zone and walk my own road. Throughout my childhood and
adolescence, I have been linked to fashion and to all it involves: from magazines and
books, to photography and fashion shows.
It is interesting to notice now that back then some of my day-to -day decisions was
influenced by Fashion. After completing my Law School, my passion was overflowing
and inside of me I knew I needed to experience and explore it. Follow new paths,
breathe another atmosphere that I admired. Meanwhile attending some courses in
drawing, sewing, history, visual merchandising and window my desire to work in this
industry was growing and growing.
I have worked in three companies and two of these are famous and big in the fashion
market. Such labour experiences provided me with not only challenges, skills,
fulfillment and friendships but also gave me the certainty that I had made the choice
of my life. In this new phase, after two years of intense professional immersion, I feel
that I need to further my studies and by doing this improve myself. I always had a
dream to study fashion in Italy, not only for the well-know reputation of its fashion
school and great stylists, but also to be a place that breathes art, food, beauty,
interesting people and culture.
2. A whole package that can make my fashion studies more rich and full of rewards.
When I had found the pós-graduation course that Domus offers, I knew I had to do it.
Each time I research about Domus, I caught myself inspired and excited by the
teaching method, by the lifestyle it proposes, by the technology, by its teachers.
Finally for this blend of art, fashion, and professionalism.
I have been feeling so much excitement and joy just by thinking about the life, the
studies, events and situation that I will experience in college and by living in one of
the main worldwide fashion scenarios. I expect no less from Domus than to increase
my eager to learn, to challenge me and surprise me. Once I am graduated, I know
that Domus will have given me the tools and the knowledge to continue in my path.
Only that now, my steps will be firmer and driven by confidence heading myself to
accomplish all of my goals in life. The moment that I expected more in my life has
come. At the age of 28, I am finally realizing the greatest dream of my life.
