  3. 3. Use only a noun or a pronoun as the subject. Her hat is pretty. It is pretty. Her hat it is pretty. Mary is my sister. She is my sister. Mary she is my sister. Correct Incorrect
  4. 4. <ul><li>Listen to each sentence. </li></ul><ul><li>Decide if each sentence has just one subject or if the sentence is “seeing double.” </li></ul><ul><li>If the sentence has just one subject, hold up your speed limit sign. </li></ul><ul><li>If the sentence has a double subject, hold up your stop sign . </li></ul>

You are going to try your hand at digging for fossils. </li></ul><ul><li>With your group, dig into your excavation site and find your four fossils. </li></ul><ul><li>Use the words on the fossils to make a sentence. There is one extra word on each fossil. Do not use that word in your sentence. </li></ul><ul><li>Rewrite the sentence correctly on your answer sheet. </li></ul><ul><li>Have fun! </li></ul>
