All rights reserved WaveRider LMS8000 Features • Next Generation Adaptive Modulation • Non Line of Site Range of up to 4 miles • Line of Site Range up to 25 miles • Higher bandwidthT-1 replacement using Flanger memory-link • User-installable wireless modem and indoor antennas • Built-in diagnostic tools • drive-test utility • spectrum analyzer • Dynamic Polling MAC • Grades of Service • Full RADIUS and SNMP • Web based Graphical User Interface • Supports VoIP 4
  5. 5. ©Vecima Networks. All rights reserved Meet Growing Bandwidth Requirements of Subscribers Internet traffic patterns changing – subscribers demanding higher throughput Competition from incumbent DSL and cable services Capacity limitations due to increasing bandwidth requirements Investment in Legacy WaveRider Network Protected EUM3005 and EUM3006 modems can work with OFDM CCU8000 RF antenna subsystems and band pass filters do not have to be exchanged or upgraded Superior Capacity and Performance Operating at the same GoS levels – a CCU8000 can deploy as many as 3 times more EUM8000 units as a CCU3100 servicing EUM3005 or EUM3006 Ability to support higher throughput will enable network operator to service businesses and consumers who require higher bandwidth and are willing to pay for it. WaveRider LMS8000 Upgrade Path 5
  6. 6. ©Vecima Networks. All rights reserved CCU8000 can support OFDM modem (EUM8000) as well as the legacy modems (EUM3005/EUM3006/MMT9000) Customers with EUM3000, EUM3003 or EUM3004 will need to be upgraded to either a newer CCK modem (EUM3005/EUM3006) If they need higher speeds they should be upgraded to an EUM8000 CCU3100/CCU3000 cannot support OFDM modems CCK Modem Performance (EUM3005/EUM3006/MMT9000) does not improve in the LMS8000 infrastructure – max throughput remains 2 Mbps Compatibility application notes will be posted on the Vecima/WaveRider website Migration and Upgrade Scenarios 6
