  5. 5. 2) To improve the Bitcoin space for everyone
  6. 6. We see improving decentralization as our best way to contribute.
  7. 7. Bitcoin has a centralization problem.
  8. 8. Central exchanges / wallets have intrinsic safety problems.

  10. 10. Server Wallet Hacks
  11. 11. “'Catastrophic' is the right word. On the scale of 1 to 10, this is an 11.” - Bruce Schneier
  12. 12. I can lay waste to any server with heartbleed.
  13. 13. Central servers are not a cure-all, even if well run. We need alternatives.
  14. 14. If we can't, it's a huge liability to Bitcoin's legitimacy.
  15. 15. So why not make the exchanges smaller and more decentralized?
  16. 16. Here's a very small, decentralized Bitcoin exchange:
  17. 17. Current legal status: Weird and ambiguous.
  18. 18. Bad U.S. regulations make Bitcoin less safe. If you're going to regulate, do it sensibly or don't do it at all.
  19. 19. We need to make it possible for small groups to exchange bitcoin too. So:
