Aluminum to Aluminum Nitride Conversion (Surface Modification) SMP-Lasers Surface Modification Treatment; Aluminum to Aluminum Nitride Conversion for:  enhanced wear resistance  erosion resistance and  corrosion resistance 2. Ophthalmologic Blades, Surface Enhancement (Surface Treatment for Enhanced Performance SMP-Lasers treated ophthalmologic blades; composite metal / nanodiamond with antiglare treatment for:  low friction,  low penetration forces and  enhanced durability Treatment thickness ~200 Angstroms

Advantages:  Reduction in use of hot forging lubricants  Elimination of steam erosion  Elimination of thermal fatigue and cracking  Reduced hot metal diffusion and erosion  Enhanced material flow  ~10x life improvement 4. Drills, Surface Enhancement Treatment (Surface Treatment for Enhanced Performance) As received SMP-Laser treated SMP-Lasers treatment of drills Grinding marks, burrs, heat treatment defects, removed with SMP-Laser process – results in:  enhanced edge-strength  enhanced lubrication  enhanced chip removal  ~15x performance enhancement
