The Upgrade Journey• Client created internal upgrade team with all SME’s involved from the very early stages of the project• Client conducted multi-day scoping workshops with various vendors to evaluate vendors• Client decided that SYSTIME was the best match• SYSTIME conducted an extensive appraisal of current situation suggesting ‘as-is’ upgrade approach

The Secret Sauce - Meticulous Cutover planning!• Go-live plan had a hour-by-hour checklist of the master implementation and back-out (contingency) plan• Included activities within JD Edwards and related 3rd party interfaces• Master plan included start / end times, durations and person responsible over a period of 48 hours.•Detailed task level activities were included for: Cutover and communication plan Technical Preparations Pre-cutover business activities Running backups / SQL updates Running data conversion programs Bringing up new system to be ready for controlled use Data validation  Go / No-Go Decisions  Communication to business for Go-Live  Post cutover activities

Rigorous testingprocedures and detailed scenario analysis helped resolve issues efficiently.• Stable test scripts (consistency in testing phases) Testing was done in 4 phases Surface test – to test standard JDE objects in 9.0 CRP1 – Out of the box integrated test of standard and retrofitted objects ICRP – Scope of CRP1 + Critical interfaces and open issues from CRP1  UAT – User Acceptance Test In all more than 400 scripts were used to test all business scenarios.

PMO adopted a Proactive Risk Management approach• Proactive risk management: • Periodic reviews to ensure constant monitoring of the progress and tight control of the scope of the project. • Weekly status meetings – to review detailed project activities, issues and risk mitigation • Never allows slippage, always have Plan B ready • SME/ Team which falls behind must provide mitigation plan to bet back on track • Ample resource throughout the project • On time decisions were made involving the stakeholders from the business.

All set to move ahead!• Prepared a solid infrastructure for future growth and acquisition plan of Windsor Foods.• New infrastructure allows to scale by over 400% versus pre-upgrade (while using fewer server)• Modernized end user interface ( Web versus Citrix)• Allowed SQL server consolidation• Laid foundation to roll out the JD Edwards manufacturing modules to all of its North American manufacturing plants.• Laid foundation for rollout of other modules such as Fixed Assets, Transportation and Plant & Maintenance
