  2. 2.  Arthur Conan Doyle was a Scottish and English physician and writer.
  3. 3.  He was born in 1859. When he was 9 , he was sent to the Jesuit College. In the boarding school Doyle liked to play сricket very much. Arthur received medical education in Edinburgh University.
  4. 4.  In 1891 Doyle made literature his main profession. His most known book character is a detective Sherlock Holmes. Holmes’ prototype was Joseph Bell, the University Professor.
  5. 5. Doyle had a lot of friendsamong writers. His work wasinfluenced by the books ofWalter Scott, — bookswhich he grew up on, andGeorge Meredith, MayneReid and R.L.Stephenson
  6. 6.  The beginning of the first world war completely changed the lives of Conan Doyle. Beginning on 8 August 1914 in the London times appear letter Doyle military theme.
  7. 7.  In 1885 Doyle married Louise “Tuye" Hawkins; for many years she suffered from tuberculosis and died in 1906. In 1907 Doyle married Jean Lekki. Doyle had five children.
  8. 8. In 1920 the writer travelled a lotwithout interrupting his literaryactivities. On 7 July 1930 Conan Doyle diedof a heart attack. He was buriednear his garden shed. The epitaphon his grave says: STEEL TRUE BLADE STRAIGHT ARTHUR CONAN DOYLE KNIGHT PATRIOT, PHYSICIAN & MAN OF LETTERS
