Kimberly Byrd was the first female in history to be appointed Executive Officer in the City of Philadelphia Police Department. Today, she is working on her philanthropic endeavors by running the Vaird Foundation, a non-profit foundation made in the memory of Police Officer Lauretha Vaird #5897: the only female officer from the Philadelphia Police Department to be killed in combat in the line of duty.
