There are advanced stages of brain damage that we’re familiar with- Schizophrenia (earliest diagnosed mental illness), Dementia, and Alzheimer’s, but are the late stages of a brain that’s been neglected or abused for years.

This ‘electrically charged’ organ isn’t just about mental capability-its influence dominates our eyes, energy, mood, our hormones, and so much more. Closed head injuries, are associated with: Addiction (including alcoholism), Tinnitus, Dementia, Alzheimer’s, Schizophrenia (OCD (basal ganglia and hypothalamus), Epilepsy, learning disabilities, Down’s syndrome, and all neurological issues (including MS and Myasthenia Gravis). All have been associated with anti-brain antibodies.

  14. 14. WhatOmega- 3 Index Plus tests for:  The most studied Omega 3’s are EPA/ DHA.  Our body selectively chooses to allow DHA to cross the blood-brain barrier and provide "ready-to-use" fatty acids for our brain. Low levels of DHA are a risk factor in cognitive impairment such as depression, dementia, and Alzheimer's.  Research now links the level of DHA to our “feel good” neurotransmitter of Serotonin.  > DHA = > Serotonin = feel-good great mood!

  18. 18. Standard Process Neurotrophin PMG & Neuroplex  Neurotrophin pmg and anti brain antibodies  20% of our blood is pumped through the brain. The brain leaks antigenic protein due to trauma and inflammation (which inhibits brain activity) from injury.  PMG postulated to remove interference to bio nutritional metabolism so the organs can heal- stops leaking auto antibodies into the blood thus preventing attack.

  23. 23. Standard Process Niacinamide B6  Niacinamide B6 is in a base of Cataplex G (rich in riboflavin and niacin) so its function is much higher than Niacinamide alone. Due to its naturally occurring niacin, one may experience a slight niacin flush  B6 is used up in metabolizing Aspartame & artificial sweeteners and this is likely where a lot of the nerve problems come from, including memory loss and depression.  High Blood pressure medication depletes B6.  Dr. Goodheart details the characteristic responses of schizophrenics, which proposes that the disease is caused by psychopathological metabolites of adrenaline that are degraded in normal individuals but remain unmetabolized in schizophrenics (and can be broken down by niacin).
  24. 24. Standard Process Niacinamide B6  While medicine currently discredits the adrenochome hypothesis, over the years many healthcare professionals— both alternative and conventional— have reported positive results in treating schizophrenia with niacin, suggesting that while the mechanism originally proposed by adrenochrome hypothesis may not be entirely accurate, the therapy suggested by the theory is effective nevertheless. FromThe Digest of Chiropractic Economics, 1970.

Standard Process CataplexG  9-12 SP CataplexG (Named after Dr. Goldberger) daily OR: 9-12 SP Niacinamide B6 .  Pellagra has sometimes been called the disease of the four Ds – dermatitis, diarrhoea, dementia and death. In 1937 it was discovered that pellagra was caused by a deficiency of the B vitamin niacin (nicotinic acid).  Liver, brain & stomach support. “Raw skin" is the literal meaning of the word pellagra.  Also a source of naturally occurring Niacin-
  26. 26. MediHerb Turmeric Forte  Constant stress erodes the ability of the body to produce BDNF (brain-derived neurotrophic factor). Turmeric significantly increases BDNF after even a short period of use.  BDNF helps create neurons and maintains the existing ones.  BDNF is generally deficient in those with Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and Huntington’s diseases, and issues with the gene for BDNF can be a component of depression, anxiety, and memory deficits. Reference: www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0166432812006997
  27. 27.  Acts as an anti-depressant in a similar fashion to SSRI’s (raises serotonin). No known interactions betweenTurmeric and SSRI’s  Avoid before surgery- blood thinning property may improve blood flow to the brain MediHerb Turmeric Forte
  28. 28.  The most common approaches that are used by nearly every company are the use of acetone and methanol in a 35% extract ofTurmeric.  Kerry Bone insisted on ethanol alcohol at 40% because it leaves no toxic residues behind.  MediHerb is the only company that uses this unique 40% ethanol extract- they purchase 100% of what’s available.  Rigorous testing of each batch MediHerb Turmeric Forte
  29. 29.  About Kerry Bone: Considered one of the top 10 herbalists in the world, he’s also a second time winner of James A. Duke Excellence in Botanical Literature Award for Principles and Practice of Phytotherapy: Modern Herbal Medicine.  In Kerry’s words, ““The landscape of herbal medicine is evolving every day. With so much information now available, we needed to carefully review everything for its relevance to the clinical practitioner. Adulteration is responsible for many of the safety issues with herbs these days. ” MediHerb Turmeric Forte
  30. 30. SydneyWalker Acupuncture of Sonoma County shared aWAY COOL SUCCESS STORY on Turmeric Forte: MediHerb Turmeric Forte
  31. 31.  Hi Kim,  My most rewarding experience with Mediherb Turmeric Forte is that it helped and continues to help a patient of mine who had a concussion from a car accident. He received a diagnosis of being bi-polar, and was attempting to manage his symptoms with pharmaceuticals. He came to me to make sure that his liver and kidneys were ok in spite of the medication so I gave him nutritional support for that as well.   I gave him Turmeric forte to help the pain and the anxiety and depression symptoms, and because curcumin has such a beneficial effect on all aspects of our health. I love that this form allows the full spectrum of curcuminoids to cross the blood brain barrier and help with inflammation in the brain.   He’s reported that when he started taking the Turmeric Forte, he experienced the calm and the clarity and balance he used to have for the first time since the bi- polar symptoms and the medications.   Let me know if I can help further. It's a great product.  Best,  Sydney MediHerb Turmeric Forte
  32. 32. MediHerb BlackCumin Seed Forte  Black Cumin Seed (Nigella ) and Niacin/Niacinamide is highly regarded as being neuroprotective of the substantia nigra.  https://www.neuroscientificallychalleng ed.com/blog/know-your-brain- substantia-nigra   Parkinson’s and drug addiction are linked with the loss of dopaminergic neurons in the Substania Nigra. Both Niacin/Niacinamide and Black Cumin Seed have been studied and clinically proved successful in regards to the protection of these neurons.  https://www.sciencedirect.com/topics/a gricultural-and-biological- sciences/substantia-nigra
  33. 33. MediHerb BlackCumin Seed Forte  When a significant number of dopaminergic neurons die, the body starts to experience movement-related tremors --stiffness, inflexibility of limbs, and loss of balance all the hallmark symptoms of Parkinson's disease.  Substantia nigra one of the major dopamine-producing areas of the brain (pleasure neurotransmitter)
  34. 34. MediHerb BlackCumin Seed Forte  Doctrine of Signatures: herbs resembling various parts of the body can be used by herbalists to treat ailments of those body parts.  Nigella is black gooey, sticky seed similar looking to the black, gooey, sticky portion of the brain known as Substantia Nigra  Used religiously used for thousands of years for preventing and treating many different kinds of diseases.  The neuroprotection plus cholinergic modulation (increases acetylcholine/gaba) by Nigella provides a good example of the emerging multitarget approach towards treating complex ailments such as AD.  https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/article s/PMC4789020/
  35. 35. MediHerb BlackCumin Seed Forte  Nigella is also thought to play an important role in a number of other functions and behaviors, including histamine intolerance & drug addiction.  Use of illicit stimulants (methamphetamine, cocaine, and ecstasy) causes neurotoxicity.  In a fascinating study where rats were exposed to chronic levels of toluene for months, it caused severe degenerative changes which destroyed neurons in the frontal cortex and brain stem. In the group of rats that were exposed to the same toxin, but also treated orally once daily with Nigella, no pathological changes in the nerve cells were detected!  https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s 11064-008-9702-0
  36. 36. MediHerb BlackCumin Seed Forte  HASHIMOTO’S: Forty patients with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, aged between 22 and 50 years old, participated in the trial and were randomly allocated into two groups of intervention and control receiving powdered Nigella sativa or placebo daily for 8 weeks.  It was an outstanding success!Treatment with Nigella sativa significantly reduced body weight and body mass index (BMI). Serum concentrations of thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) and anti- thyroid peroxidase (anti-TPO) antibodies decreased while serumT3 concentrations increased in Nigella sativa-treated group after 8 weeks. None of these changes were observed in placebo treated group.
  37. 37. MediHerb BlackCumin Seed Forte  Seed: is considered superior oil versions of Nigella. Black Cumin Seed Forte is a souce of the all-important thymoquinone  https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PM C4387230/   Nigella Oil: is a source of the fatty acids from the seed, but doesn’t have any of the beneficial phytochemicals.Allergic reactions are more common with the oil rather than the seed.  Common extractions are methanol and hexane extracts of Nigella which increased herb/drug interaction. MH uses ethanol.  DOSING: Each tablet of Black Cumin Seed Forte = 2 grams nigella seed- the dosage commonly tested in clinical trials. 1 tablet daily total needed. More may be used depending upon the individual circumstances. 
  38. 38. MediHerb BlackCumin Seed Forte  The seed is not only the main reproductive organ of an herb but considered a nutritional powerhouse in TraditionalChinese Medicine. The seed possesses important medicinal properties and is often used as a component in modern-day pharmaceutical products.  Black Cumin Seed Forte is a souce of the all-important thymoquinone  https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/artic les/PMC4387230/#:~:text=sativa%20see ds%20are%20commonly%20known,infl uenza%20(1%2C%202). 

  42. 42. Vitanox or OPCSynergy In the case of Alzheimer’s, it’s thought that acetylcholine levels are either too low or that acetylcholine is broken down too fast, so some nerve impulses carrying memory or learning information can’t be fully transmitted. In either case, slowing or inhibiting the action of acetylcholinesterase may help improve memory, and researchers are on the lookout for compounds that do this safely. Drugs with this action are among the few that have proven successful in Alzheimer’s treatment. Rosemary was one of the first plants identified as having the same inhibiting power. 43. 43. Vitanox  ALA claims to be a combination of both water and fat soluble antioxidants.   Medi HerbVitanox does just that but it also provides the complexity of multiple forms of antioxidants, rather than just one. That is considered the very best way to take antioxidants, rather than high doses of synthetic forms. I’ve attached the product detail sheet as well as additional information on what makes Vitanox so special below:   Phospholipids, the main constituents of cellular membranes, play a crucial role in assuring proper cell function. The phospholipids of cellular membranes generally contain unsaturated fatty acids with cis double bond configurations that help to maintain proper fluidity of the membrane. Fluidity of a membrane significantly affects its permeability and facilitates movement of molecules within the membrane, as well as the transfer of nutrients into and out of the cell.
