2. 2. Brothers in Islam…
Lets think why we are here as a servant of Allah.
Are we clear with our mission and role in this world and university?
We are the next generation that should preserve our Deen,
We are the next leader of our country and nation.
PUSAT ISLAM UNIVERSITI UTARA MALAYSIA
ISLAMIC CENTRE UNIVERSITI UTARA MALAYSIA
3. 3. We have roles in shaping the university.
Do we realize our roles in this university and as a servant of Allah?
Some of us do realize but others don’t because of these symptoms:
lack of desire to learn
lack of Akhlak(good moral conduct)
lack of academic performance
Negative perception towards Ilm (knowledge)
PUSAT ISLAM UNIVERSITI UTARA MALAYSIA
ISLAMIC CENTRE UNIVERSITI UTARA MALAYSIA
4. 4. There are several aspects that we should focusing on:
The importance of Ilm(knowledge)
The importance of Akhlak
The importance of leadership
As an agentof changes
The unity of campus community
PUSAT ISLAM UNIVERSITI UTARA MALAYSIA
ISLAMIC CENTRE UNIVERSITI UTARA MALAYSIA
5. 5. First role: We must seeking Ilmbecause it is very important as highlighted in this verse;
55:33 O you who live in close communion with [evil] invisible beings and humans! [15] If you [think that you] can pass beyond the regions of the heavens and the earth, pass beyond them! [16] [But] you cannot pass beyond them, save by a sanction [from God]! [17]
PUSAT ISLAM UNIVERSITI UTARA MALAYSIA
ISLAMIC CENTRE UNIVERSITI UTARA MALAYSIA
6. 6. Among the Islamic scholars that we should look up and learn from during the civilization of Islam:
Sayyidina Ali
IbnuSina
IbnuKhaldun
IbnuRusyd
Al-Khawarizami
Al-Razi
PUSAT ISLAM UNIVERSITI UTARA MALAYSIA
ISLAMIC CENTRE UNIVERSITI UTARA MALAYSIA
7. 7. Second role: We must observe our Akhlakbased on this Quranic verse;
30:29 But nay - they who are bent on evildoing follow but their own desires, without having any knowledge (of the truth). [23] And who could guide those whom God has [thus] let go astray, and who (thereupon) have none to succor them? [24]
PUSAT ISLAM UNIVERSITI UTARA MALAYSIA
ISLAMIC CENTRE UNIVERSITI UTARA MALAYSIA
8. 8. Third role:
We must prepare ourselves with soft skill related to EQ(Emotional Intelligence Quotient) and hard skill related to technical requirements of job. Leadership is considered as soft skill.
Fourth role:
We are an agent of change. The changes we make must be inline with Quran and Hadith.
PUSAT ISLAM UNIVERSITI UTARA MALAYSIA
ISLAMIC CENTRE UNIVERSITI UTARA MALAYSIA
9. 9. Fifth role:
The unity of campus community should be strengthened. We complement each other.
PUSAT ISLAM UNIVERSITI UTARA MALAYSIA
ISLAMIC CENTRE UNIVERSITI UTARA MALAYSIA
10. 10. Conclusion

As a conclusion we must realize the agenda of Ummah.
 11. 11. We must strive to be the best model of Ummah by evaluating ourselves.
 12. 12. Be a dynamic student.

PUSAT ISLAM UNIVERSITI UTARA MALAYSIA
ISLAMIC CENTRE UNIVERSITI UTARA MALAYSIA
13. 13. Lets ponder these verses:
وَلَوِ اتَّبَعَ الْحَقُّ أَهْوَاءهُمْ لَفَسَدَتِ السَّمَاوَاتُ وَالْأَرْضُ وَمَن فِيهِنَّ بَلْ أَتَيْنَاهُم بِذِكْرِهِمْ فَهُمْ عَن ذِكْرِهِم مُّعْرِضُونَ (23:71)
23:71 But if the truth [41] were in accord with their own likes and dislikes, the heavens and the earth would surely have fallen into ruin, and all that lives in them [would long ago have perished]! [42] Nay, [in this divine writ] We have conveyed unto them all that they ought to bear in mind: [43] and from this their reminder they [heedlessly] turn away!
PUSAT ISLAM UNIVERSITI UTARA MALAYSIA
ISLAMIC CENTRE UNIVERSITI UTARA MALAYSIA
29:43 And so We propound these parables unto man: but none can grasp their innermost meaning save those who [of Us] are aware [38]
35:28 And (as) there are in men, and in crawling beasts, and in cattle, too, many hues? [19] Of all His servants, only such as are endowed with [innate] knowledge stand [truly] in awe of God: [20] [for they alone comprehend that,] verily, God is almighty, much-forgiving.
PUSAT ISLAM UNIVERSITI UTARA MALAYSIA
ISLAMIC CENTRE UNIVERSITI UTARA MALAYSIA
15. 15. The end…
Thank you
PUSAT ISLAM UNIVERSITI UTARA MALAYSIA
ISLAMIC CENTRE UNIVERSITI UTARA MALAYSIA
