Facebook users.
On Facebook, 934 million are mobile daily active users.
Instagram now has over 300 million members who
share more than 70 million photos and videos each
day.
At 4.21%, Brand Engagement Rates Highest on
Instagram.
Twitter has over 320 million users, 80% are mobile users.
Businesses who use Twitter generate, on average, twice
as many leads as those who don’t.
Where to Start....
Social Media Basics
Social media can be VERY time consuming,
which is why picking the right platforms to spend
your time is so essential.
Just like Wal Mart, you can’t be all things to all
people...pick a handful of platforms where your
customers are located to invest your time.
The type of industry you are in or are promoting
will determine which platforms are best for you.
For the Food Truck Industry, it is recommended
to be on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
Branding Accounts
Your logo needs to always be your profile
picture (you want people to recognize your
brand easily).
If you can, have all of your accounts with
the same url/username for social sharing
purposes.
Spend the time to create custom cover
photos to brand your company.
Digital Branding Basics
Creating custom content is the key to success
online.
This sets you apart from the competition
and attracts people to your brand.
Custom graphics will share your brand not only
on your platforms, but across the Internet.

target.
Facebook has the largest functionality of all of the
social media platforms.
Ability to post status updates, photos, photo
albums, videos, offers.
Facebook has the most integrative and
targeting ability on their advertising platform.
Facebook Tips
Besides great content, Facebook Ads are key to
growing your page consistently.
Spending just $1/day can result in a minimum of 10-20
likes per week.
Brand photos you have on Facebook for brands.
Facebook shows between 2-5% of your fan following
each post on your Fb page.
Video posts will get 2-3xs the exposure than text, link, or
picture posts.
Become an editor on the Tulsa Food Truck page.
Instagram
Instagram is dependent on visually stunning images
Every time you make your food, take a picture.
Show behind the scenes of how your food is made.
This platform has the highest engagement.
Include relevant hashtags and be sure to tag your
location.
Instagram Tips
Have the majority of your hashtags in the first comment of your post.
If you share your post to Facebook, go back and properly hyperlink
the @ tags.
Try to use just a few filters for consistency of your brand.
Twitter
Twitter allows you to quickly and easily have a
conversation with customers on a one-on-one level.
Every time your truck is out, you need to tweet your
location.
Using video on Twitter will increase engagement.
Is best used for customer service and building of
relationships (so make sure you pay attention).
Use tools like audiense.com or tweepi.com
Twitter Tips
One of the most underutilized
features of Twitter is “lists.”
Always tag sources of content.
Follow those who follow you.....this is
SOCIAL media.
Using a period before a conversation
tweet will allow your entire following
base to see your tweet.
Use hashtags to join/create
conversations.
