Questionnaire Results

 1. 2.

As you can see from these results 13 out of the 28 people that completed the questionnaire spent £3 or less buying CD’s each month. When I spoke to some of the participants most of them said that they do not buy CD’s as much as they used to they simply download instead.

 2. 3.

From the results above you can see that 75% of the people who participated in the questionnaire spent from £0 to £3 downloading music. When I spoke to people that had taken part in the questionnaire most of them said they do not pay to download music using sites such as iTunes they use an illegal downloading site instead for example, Limewire.

 3. 4.

Looking at these results you can clearly see that there is an equal result in the amount of people that use iTunes and sites such as Limewire to access new music. Live Streaming, Spotify and Last FM all have the same amount of votes also but according to the survey are used less to access new music than Limewire and iTunes.

 4. 5.

According to our survey results 16 out of 28 people prefer to watch music videos online. When I spoke to some people that had taken the survey their reasons for this were because it is much easier to access the video that you wish to view online using sites such as YouTube. Rather than waiting for it to be aired on the TV.

 5. 6.

88.9% of people that took this questionnaire have said that YouTube is their favourite site to use when they want to watch music videos online. A low 11.1% said that they prefer to use Music Channel Websites, but as you can see YouTube is the clear leader.

 6. 7.

The top 2 music channels that our audience prefer to watch are MTV and TMF, close behind them are the 4Music and Kiss channels.

 7. 8.

16 out of the 27 people that took our questionnaire said that they had not been to any festivals. I think this is because people usually don’t go to festivals until they turn 18 and most of our audience would have been under this age range. However 13 people said that they had been to a festival. The leading festivals were V Festival and Reading Festival. These are the 2 largest and most popular festivals.

 8. 9.

We also had two people that selected the ‘other’ option for our previous question related to festivals. The two festivals that people had been to that had not been listed as a choice on our question were The Download Festival and Global Gathering. These events are smaller than the Reading and V Festival.

 9. 10.

As you can see from the results there is a significantly higher amount of people that see the value in a well put together digipak than people that do not. Using this information will help us decide how much detail to use when it comes to producing our own digipak for our artist.
