Information Literacy Skills • Being able to identify the nature and extent of information needed • Accessing needed information effectively and efficiently • Evaluating information and sources critically • Using information effectively to accomplish a specific purpose • Accessing and using information ethically and legally, and understanding the basic economic, legal and social issues surrounding the use of information.
