This powerpoint presentation was done about our final year B.E project. This project was done in the department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE) by students from R.M.D Engineering College in Tamil Nadu. It is based on the domain Automotive Electronics. Concepts such as Internet of Things (IOT) have been used. If you need more information regarding this project kindly feel free to contact me through my mail ID keerthykeerthana7@gmail.com

Evidence Collection
from Car Black Boxes
using Smartphone’s
A process to collect critical video
clips in the black box are hashed
to provide data integrity before
being transmitted to police server.
2015 Dr.J.I.Mazher Iqbal
and S.Heena Kousar
Automatic vehicle
Accident Detection
and Reporting with
black box
It gathers the position information
and send the message to specific
server and black box. The Black
box records the voice at that
instant.
2016 Soumya S, Malini
chavali, Shuchi Gupta
and Niharika Rao
Internet of things
based Home
automation system
They used LDR for light intensity
and Ultrasonic sensor for distance
range condition and also human
remotely controlled the light of
their houses.
2016 Rahul B and
P.P.Tasgaokar
An IOT framework
for intelligent vehicle
monitoring system
It provide the facility of
monitoring the environment
parameters continuously using
different parameters.

4. EXISTING PROPOSED
Only 20 seconds of information
is stored at the time of crash.
IOT allows storage of more data
before and after the crash.
Not possible to save large data
using bluetooth devices.
IOT can be used to save and
retrieve loads of data.
Separate complex circuits are
used.
Simple sensor circuits are used.
Range of data transfer is less. Data can be transferred through
a wide range.
General speed control devices
are used.
Speed control based on nearby
vehicles.
R.M.D ENGINEERING COLLEGE
12. IOT is an emerging technology which reduces the error in detecting
the cause of the crash easily.
Less Complex
More economical since number of circuits used is less.
More information helpful for crash analysis can be stored.
R.M.D ENGINEERING COLLEGE
13. This information can be transferred to police stations to help aid in
their investigations.
Controlling of automotive parameters can be done by using sensor
values to help prevent accidents.
User or driver information can be shared using RFID tags to help in
identifying the victims easily.
Can use AI based interactive tools to help the passengers of nearby
vehicles to locate nearby hospitals, ambulances etc.
