Be A Movie Director <ul><li>This lesson plan came from the Smithsonian’s History Explorer site. </li></ul><ul><li>It is appropriate for grade levels 9-12. </li></ul><ul><li>Really incorporates the use of technology in the classroom. </li></ul><ul><li>Allows students to create a video on a time in history in a way that they can remember it. </li></ul>

How to use it in the classroom? <ul><li>Divide the class into groups and each group will receive a certain event in history to recreate through a video. </li></ul><ul><li>The groups will then present the videos to the class, which is great for they are learning from their peers. </li></ul><ul><li>Since they are being taught in a fun way they have a better chance of staying focused and learning the material. </li></ul>

Why is it a great tool? <ul><li>Lets students let their creative abilities come out. </li></ul><ul><li>Gives them the chance to use a variety of technology programs to make their own videos with pictures from history. </li></ul><ul><li>Allows students to excel in their strengths. </li></ul><ul><li>Students learn to collaborate with each other to create the movie. </li></ul><ul><li>Students can create a tool to aid them in learning subject material in a fun way, which increases the chance of them remembering it. </li></ul>
