  4. 4. I like Action and Adventure filmsbecause there is more to them thanjust explosions and fights it’s aboutgood beating evil and overcomingobstacles for the sake offamily, friendship or love. Each of thefilms I have chosen prove this withthe heroes fighting to protect thosethey care about (as well as the wholesaving the world ploy) . With fantasticand incredible special effects makingthe audience believe that it’s real andthat they are a part of it making thefilm exciting. There is always amystery that needs to be solved and ajourney to be made.
  5. 5. One of the main ways I find out about films is by reading Empire magazine and going ontheir website to read about any film news; like what film is being rebooted, who’s starringin what and what director has signed on to the new blockbuster. I also haven asubscription to Film news channels on YouTube, ClevverMovies and VisoTrailers, thatupload new film trailers and teasers from all genres. If the film has an exciting and intriguing trailer it is more likely that I will watchit, and if it has famous actors in it that I know & like. Genre is a big factor of why Iwatch films, even is a horror film is cast will all my favourite actors and has anamazing trailer I still wont watch it because thats a genre I really don’t like.

  8. 8. Intertextuality is when other texts ormedia productions influence a film orTV programme, whether its makingreferences to the original or copyingthe idea into something new slightlychanging it and making it different. Anexample of this being the film ‘Clueless’which is loosely based on the JaneAusten novel Emma another examplebeing a scene from Toy story 2 thatreplicates the famous scene in StarWars when Luke finds out his father isDarth Vader.
  9. 9. In all of the films I have Reception theory is alsochosen star factor was a big a big factor ininfluence to make me watch action/adventure filmsthem. With them starring as they have to connectHarrison Ford, Brendan with the audience, makeFraser, Rachel Weis, RobertDowney Jnr and Jude Law you want to have anthey are a big attraction for adventure, feel like youall types of audience, and are a part of thebecause we’ve already adventure and theycome to love their previous make you think who isfilms I knew that these the good/bad guy ,is itwould be just as good. With as straight forward as itstar factor even if you aren’t seems? It lets thea fan of a certain genre if audience make theirthe film stars an actor oractress you really love own mind up about theyou’re bound to go see it film and lets them makejust to see their character. a connection.
