  3. 3. SOS Children’s Villages •  “I have visited many chari@es and personally sponsor children and schools both directly and indirectly. I must tell you how impressed I was with SOS Villages both in terms of organisa@on as I spent @me at their Headquarters in Cambridge and with children, mothers and staff at the Casablanca Village in Morocco. This charity clearly has thought not only about how to bring immediate benefits to the children but also in crea@ng an infrastructure and a training development program to ensure an excellent quality of care.” Karim Sekkat, Chairman •  SOS Children’s Villages is a global charity which provides orphans and vulnerable children with a stable and posi@ve family life. The charity protects and improves the lives of children in 125 countries, working with communi@es to keep fragmen@ng families together, and where this is not possible, building new families for children at risk. •  Working together with deprived communi@es, SOS Children iden@fies needs and provides prac@cal and emo@onal tools for parents and caregivers to prevent family breakdown. When children lose their families and have nothing and no one, the charity ensures that they can grow up in a safe environment by crea@ng new families. Headed by SOS mothers, families live together in unique SOS Children’s Villages, which are located in the heart of communi@es. The charity establishes schools and medical centres to ensure that more children have the opportunity of an educa@on and access to quality medical care.
