4. Climate of Bangladesh
-Bangladesh being located on the Tropic of Cancer receives
fairly direct radiation throughout the year & maintains
relatively high temperature.
-The climate of BD can be characterized as hot & humid (with
high temperatures, heavy rainfall, often excessive humidity) in
the summer & dry and cool in winter.
Rainfall
-80% rainfall takes place in the monsoon season (June to
October), 20% in the summer (March-May) and 5% in the
winter (November to February).

-rainfall in BD varies widely from the extreme western
region (minimum 1250 mm) to the northeastern parts
(5500 mm).
