The other half live in the Andes Mountains, while 5% live in the tropical rainforests of eastern Peru. </li></ul><ul><li>The religions of Peru are many varied and complicated. About 37% are Mestizo, and 45% are indigenous. </li></ul>Culture

  4. 4. <ul><li>P eru's currency is the Nuevo Sol (S/.). One Nuevo Sol is broken down into 100 céntimos (cents). Banknotes currently circulating include 200, 100, 50, 20 and 10 Nuevos Soles, while there are coins for 1, 2 and 5 Nuevos Soles and 50, 20, 10 and 5 cents. </li></ul><ul><li>We recommend to exchange money in banks, because they offer more security and guarantees but do not whatsoever use street moneychangers for they do not provide guarantees, despite of the fact that many of them are registered in municipalities in many districts of Lima. </li></ul>Currency

These include animals like the jaguar and the spectacled Bear. </li></ul><ul><li>Peru has over 1800 species of birds this is the second highest number of any country. New species New kinds of birds are still being discovered and documented by scientists. 42 kinds of birds have been officially added to science in the last 30 years. </li></ul>WildLife
