Consumer cooperation´s business concept (adopted at the Jubilee Congress in June 1999) <ul><li>Cooperation means members working together in an organised manner for the purpose of creating economic and other added value for everyone. </li></ul><ul><li>The aim of consumer cooperation is to enable members to contribute through their consumption towards a society which is characterised by economic development, ecological sustainability, mutual reliance and cooperation. </li></ul>

Societies, KF, Coop Norden and business activities <ul><li>Coop Norden operates all stores, supermarkets and hypermarkets in southern and middle Sweden (green area) </li></ul><ul><li>About 60 percent of the members live in these areas with 5 large cooperative societies </li></ul><ul><li>About 40 percent of the members have their membership in 55 consumer cooperative societies in other parts of Sweden (grey area) </li></ul><ul><li>These societies operate their own retail chains </li></ul><ul><li>The retail chains are supplied by Coop Norden and they cooperate on formats etc. according to agreements </li></ul>
