  2. 2. Issue ESS uses JavaFX which faces issues utilizing hardware accelerated VMs. This can lead to wrongly rendered JavaFX based dialogs even missing some components like shown below: Adapter visible in “Mini Live View” doesn’t show up in “Device Configuration” ?
  3. 3. Solution – Step 1 1. Shutdown the VM 2. Navigate to “Virtual Machine  Settings”
  4. 4. Solution – Step 2 Choose “Display”
  5. 5. Solution – Step 3 1. Disable 3D Graphics Acceleration by switching to “OFF” 2. Start the VM
  6. 6. Solution – Step 4 Verify that the adapter visible in the “Mini Live View” now shows up in “Device Configuration”
  7. 7. Test Setup - MacBook Air - OS X (10.9.2) - VMware Fusion Pro 6.0.2 - Windows 7 Pro x64 – SP1 - ESS 7.0.2 (using one NIC adapter, internal adapter not used here)
