Why using mesh cleaning?  Holes in geometry are where edges are attached to only one surface.  Where holes are, the CFD meshing may not recognise a continuous surface and may mesh inside the car/wheels/wings.  If the CFD meshing occurs inside, the mesh may be of bad quality and affect the results…

  8. 8. Variante  Fix Geometry moved by about a couple of millimeters to make sure that both sides are aligned.
  9. 9. Lessons Free edges = holes = mesh cleaning  Mesh cleaning can affect geometry at holes, so Avoid free edges!!!  SketchUp is not a very good tool to design water-tight geometry.
