WHO
GETS EVALUATIONS? Being aware that you have a problem is one thing:
doing something about it is another altogether.
At times a person may not realize the seriousness
of what they are doing.
Sometimes people are reluctant to admit a problem
even in the face of overwhelming evidence; or they
may know all too well there is a problem but feel
they don’t have the inner strength to deal with it.
Often it isn’t until someone experiences a ‘life crisis’
that the impact of this is driven home.
An evaluation with a professional alcohol & drug
counselor can help you start moving forward with
your life by:
Helping determine why & how to make
changes.
Helping support you in managing the problem
better.
Helping you make healthy decisions for your
future.
What does an Evaluation Cost?
Your out of pocket cost is $190.00 at the time of the
Evaluation.
This seems like a lot, why? The current require-
ments for a completed evaluation & report is
extremely time-consuming for the Counselor to pre-
pare. The costs to you to do this have already
been discounted.
Medicare does not cover this cost.
Usually health insurance companies do not help
with the cost of the evaluation but may help with the
costs of treatment.
Your EAP may help with the cost of the
evaluation.
Medicaid of Nebraska may help with the cost of your
evaluation.
If you are involved with the legal system, please
speak with your Justice Professional to be
considered for the Probation Voucher & Sliding Fee
Scale. Certain situations may qualify for 50%-95%
help with costs.
