  3. 3. The JOY of WE is an extension of ME Mapping into… WE Mapping for couples.
  4. 4. What follows is the formula to create an ACTION PLAN that when worked on can facilitate a joyful life. It isn’t magic, but it helps people outline what might make a difference and breaks it down into bite sized steps that once in motion can be magical.
  5. 5. WE MAPPING can take as little as an hour or can turn into a whole afternoon’s process. It is simply a tool so it’s up to you to decide how much JOY you can handle.
  6. 6. In order to get to WE we’ll need to start with ME. ME Mapping that is. I highly recommend reviewing ME Mapping summary before moving forward…

  10. 10. ME ≥ WE Because the WE can only be as happy as the ME we bring to it. See, your happiness is the foundation of a joyful couple.

  23. 23. Pick any aspect of your life that you’d like to transform and DECLUTTER something first— this will free up a little: Time Space Money & Energy for you to spend on something worthwhile. Clearing stuff, people, appointments, actually anything from our lives allows us to focus more on what’s really important.
  24. 24. Now that you have a bit more freedom and space in your life it’s time to choose an area you’d like to ENGAGE: What will make your life more joyful?
  25. 25. And last, but hardly least… pick someone or something to actively APPREICATE. Gratitude is for giving not hoarding– Or assuming, especially in a couple, that others knows how much they are valued.
  26. 26. WE WEPRO Ok before you start creating your own action items it might be time to also consult a professional to help along the way. Sometimes even the best relationships can still benefit from a PRO to help guide them. So while your creating an ACTION PLAN consider if you need a PRO in the mix. Can an accountant, trainer, therapist… make a difference for stronger WE Work?

Clean out my closet this Sunday afternoon Set aside 20min/day of reading for pleasure Invite Vickie to lunch thank her for support re: fundraiser Set up auto-pay: $150 to pay down cc debt Initiate sex once this week Specifically thank him for great care he takes with my Mom Clean out garage together this Saturday Friday Date Night: He’ll plan; I’ll book babysitter Greet each other w/ nice smooch when we come home He’ll hire: handyman to clear gutters I’ll make apt: with financial planer Couples Retreat: renew appreciation of our relationship + O / ME WEME WE WE WE PRO WE ACTION PLAN
  31. 31. Don’t get overwhelmed! A full week’s action can take as little as 10 minutes per item and if you don’t have a few hours a week to put in -maybe your schedule should be the first thing you work on.
  32. 32. 26 The key is to make sure you get each bite-sized action item on your calendar immediately. Then continue to work the CIRCLE OF JOY to keep the momentum going.
  33. 33. As in all of life… you get what you put in and are willing to work for and towards. What’s more important then your life and core relationship? Besides if you know the work leads to why not have fun with it!
