JOSH GREENE  1311 Theodore Ln • Durham, NC 27703 919.395.4485 • jwgreene1@gmail.com CIENA Consultant in Professional Services May 2010 - June 2015 Work closely with other engineers to design, develop, and implement Device and Service Provisioning tools for telecoms in order to simplify the management of their networks by extending and customizing Ciena’s NMS platforms. This required collaboration with multiple parties including the customer, account and sales teams, and Ciena design groups. ● Designed, developed, and implemented a Java application that gathers statistics from Carrier Ethernet and Optical devices in customer networks and uploads that data to a cloud database for their customers to view. ● Expanded existing Java Frame Clients to provision new devices in the network automatically which drastically reduced the amount of time required to deploy new revenue-generating services. ● Extended our NMS to initiate RFC2544 testing between devices remotely using Java-backed xml templates. ● Numerous small to medium sized projects that optimized customers’ service provisioning processes. ● Led an internal effort to organize our department’s code repository which made software delivery more reliable and version protected. NORTEL Software Engineer May 1999 – May 2010 Responsible for the installation, upgrade, support, training, and software customization of all initial customers for Nortel’s Metro Ethernet Manager (MEM) NMS platform.
