Due to the inherent risks of working on the waterways I must always be highly organised with preparation and safety being key priorities. My previous responsibilities in administrative roles whilst at the Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron and Yachting Queensland have included tasks such as website creation, database management, staff development and payroll administration. I have also been exposed to auditing, marketing, funding and sponsorship application writing as well as the development of risk assessments, learning and assessment tools and Marine Queensland's Safe Boating Workbook. Whilst employed as the Boat Safe Manager at Yachting Queensland I was responsible for the screening and approval of up to 100 Boat Safe Training Providers operating across Queensland both in high schools and a commercial marine environment. As the Training and Compliance Manager at Yachting Queensland I was appointed as the project manager of Yachting Australia's Tackers program which was successfully launched after I recruited and trained both instructors and club managers at sailing clubs throughout Queensland.
