Image Processing Toolbox supports a diverse set of image types, including high dynamic range, gigapixel resolution, embedded ICC profile, and tomographic. Visualization functions and apps let you explore images and videos, examine a region of pixels, adjust color and contrast, create contours or histograms, and manipulate regions of interest (ROIs). The toolbox supports workflows for processing, displaying, and navigating large images.

3. Introduction
• CBIR is one of the most popular, research
technique in digital image processing.
• Images are manually annotated with keywords and
then retrieved using text based search methods.
• This paper aims to introduce the problems and
challenges concerned with the design and the
creation of CBIR systems, which is based on a
free hand sketch(SBIR).
4. Existing system
• In earlier days image retrieving process:
• Automatic Image Annotation and Retrieval using Cross
Media Relevance Models.
• Concept Based Query Expansion.
• Query System Bridging The Semantic Gap For Large
Image Databases.
• Ontology-Based Query Expansion Widget for
information
• Retrieval.
• Detecting image purpose in World-Wide Web
documents
6. Proposed system
• Relevance feedback is an interactive process that
starts with normal CBIR.
• The user input a query, and then the system
extracts the image feature and measure the
distance with images in the database. An initial
retrieval list is then generated.
• User can choose the relevant image to further
refine the query, and this process can be iterated
many times until the user find the desired images.

14. Conclusion
• This paper performed to design,
implement and test a sketch based
image retrieval system.
• To draw image without modification
can’t be compared with color image,
the simple smoothing and edge
detection based method was improved.
