2. What is the basketball
 Basketball is played in the modern Olympics since Berlin 1936. In St.
Louis in 1904, appeared as a sport display. The women's tournament
debuted in Montreal in 1976.
 The biggest winners are the United States, creators of the sport, with
14 of the 18 gold medals in the male, and 7 of 10 in the female.
 Basketball was one of the first sports to accept the presence of
professionals, although the United States only began to send
athletes in the NBA in 1992.
