Idaho is ranked as one of the top places to snowmobile in the country. There are hundreds of snowmobile trails that are beckoning snow enthusiasts like yourself to go rip up and down their slopes, trails, berms, and more.

Here are 4 places in Idaho for snowmobiling:
1. Ashton, Idaho is less than an hour drive from Idaho Falls and is just south of the infamous Island Park. There's a great trail that actually goes from Ashton, to Mesa Falls, then up to Island Park.

2. Lava Hot Springs Area has the benefit of the natural hot water pools nearby after a day of playing in the snow (which is draining). But beyond that this area offers groomed trails, unplowed forest service roads, and beautiful views of Mt. Bonneville and the Portneuf River.

3. Hundreds of acres of wide open land to snowmobile - need I say more? Sure, there's some groomed runs to get you there and a great yurt hut for warming up!

4. Malad Valley is easy to access right off of I-15 and as awesome rolling hills and mountain ridges for your snowmobile enjoyment. You'll love riding here and lodging in the local town.

We think you'll find these attractions more than perfect for your weekend snowmobile getaway.
