WQR 2018-19: Findings and recommendations Report Findings: • For the first time end-user satisfaction is the top objective of QA and testing • Testing @ Speed and testing in agile teams is still challenging • Low levels of automation, challenges with test data and test environments holding back QA and testing efficiencies • The skills required for QA and testing have changed • AI will be a key disrupter for QA and Testing in coming years Key Recommendations: • Increase the level of basic and smart test automation but do so in a smart, phased manner • Implement a non-siloed approach for test environment and data provisioning • Build quality engineering skills beyond SDETs • Improve tracking to optimize QA • Leverage AI in test and develop a testing approach for AI solutions now
