What are “The Jesuit Relations” <br />The Jesuit Relations were French, Latin, and Italian documents from the Jesuit missionaries their elders to updating them on progress of conversions several Native American tribes <br />Although the Jesuit didn’t show signs of success until the 1640s, these documents paint a great picture of the French and Natives relations.<br />
  3. 3. Jesuit Missionaries <br />Many missionary priests were finically well off due to their work in the Jesuit colleges of France, and were active in Latin America, France, as well as in Canada. <br />
  4. 4. “I Discovered America”<br />Often French fishermen and explorers would meet Native Americans, and this was before the Jesuit arrived. <br />

Father Paul le Jeana<br />Father Paul le Jeana was so in awe of the natives he felt the need to publish the first book of Jesuit Relation<br />In this book we learned form Jeane that Natives had two main gods, one who shaped the, and one who did the up keep.<br />Also we can see how the natives daily lives, culture, and behavior.<br />
