Jesus' Economy Founding Presentation

  1. 1. Creating a new global, spiritual andphysical economy for those that need it most. A non-profit charitable organization. Contact us at info@jesuseconomy.org.
  2. 2. About Us We’re creating a new global, spiritual and physical economy for those that need it most. We start commerce and churches at the same time in the same communities. Corruption destroys jobs; churches end corruption. We train leaders in skills and ethics and hold them accountable. We connect church leaders to global donors. We connect entrepreneurs to global commerce and investors. We broker theirgoods to the right people that need or want them to ensure that there is always a buyer and the economic situation is constantly improving. You can be part of the revolution by campaigning, funding, investing, buying, or praying.
  3. 3. Philosophy Corruption destroys good work—either gradually or quickly.People in corrupt societies need a different value system. Christian, biblical values can offer that. So let’s create churches. The problem with microfinance is that it’s poor people selling to poor people. Also, the money eventually runs out. If poor people sold to rich people, or rich people bought thingsfrom poor people to give them to other needy people, the economic balance would shift. Job creation could actually occur. So let’s start industries that sell their products globally and create the network for selling them. Telling the stories of hurting people only helps if the people with moneycan do something for those in need. So let’s crowd source investing.
  4. 4. Creating an Economy What if corruption could be ended with the simple idea of accountability and a spiritually healthy network? What if the best of campaigning, viral and social marketing, and branding met global needs instead of filled pockets? What if kickstarter existed for poor people who wanted to expand their already successful businesses?
  5. 5. Creating an Economy What if there was a guaranteed wealthy group of buyers for direct trade products ready and willing to buy the productscreated in the developing world? What if some of those products were gift purchases I could make for people in need? What if the entire approach was holistic, transparent, partnership based, and involved extensive reporting and analysis?
  6. 6. Jesus’ Economy Jesus’ currency is different than ours. It’s self-sacrifice.Jesus’ economy is richest when we give of our talents and wealth to others. If Jesus walked the earth today, He would note the disparity in wealth and the need to create jobs. He would note that spiritual depravity is at the heart of every impoverished society—that the hurting are hurting because someone or something rules over them.
  7. 7. Jesus’ Economy Desperation breeds terrorism. Desperate people do desperate things. We can change the state people live in. If we could fix the moral (spiritual) problems and create jobs, we could change the world, on all levels. We have the technology and talent to create a crowd sourcing networkfor the poor, to connect people, to train people, to analyze processes, and to create a global commerce site for direct trade and funding the needs of the hurting. All that is left is doing so. Join, invest, and fund—that’s what we’re asking.
  8. 8. Reality Today The bottom 50% of the cycle destroys the top 50%.If the bottom 50% could be changed, the system would work.
  9. 9. Jesus’ Economy Cycle If the bottom 50% changes, it’s actually an economic cycle. It’s sustainable. It’s a new economy for the developing world.
  10. 10. Reality Today Investing in regular microloans ignores macroeconomics. The economy isn’t changing; small amounts of cash is changing hands.
  11. 11. Jesus’ Economy Direct trade makes the money change hands from the very wealthyto those with the most needs. A global marketplace for buying direct trade and funding people directly would change the economics of our globe.
  12. 12. Reality Today Basic needs and fighting corruption must be a major partof the effort—it must be holistic. It’s not only a given, but a must.
  13. 13. Jesus’ EconomyJesus’ Economy addresses the central issues that create the other problems plaguing the developing world and its people. Spiritual change and physical change are as interconnected as our world and its economy.
  14. 14. Process at a Glance
  15. 15. Jesus’ EconomyChurches can end corruption and sustain the wealth created by direct trade.
  16. 16. Principles Complete transparency with financial and tax documentation, all important legal documents and major reports, including salary reporting. All posted online. Corporate levels of team members make the same amount. Employee salaries are based on fair market value. Fair market value is determined by surveys of other NGO andfor-profit companies—the average of those is the pay of that level. Annual audit mandatory and also posted online.
  17. 17. PrinciplesAdministrative costs will be raised separately from project funding or designated clearly for the donor. There must always be a majority independent, non-paid, non-financially benefiting board. Live by best accounting and legal practices, to the letter. All possible conflict of interests are identified and documented. Whistle blower policy created and enforced. Reporting for each campaign and project reported online. Investor and donor funding is recorded online.
