COURSES
The Jackson Institute
offers courses at varying
levels for global affairs.
These include a Master’s
Program (M.A.), a Mas-
ter of Advanced Study
Program (M.A.S.) and an
undergraduate major (B.A.).
The Jackson Institute for Global Affairs is part of Yale University and home to
the World Fellows Program of the university. The entire university is served by
the Jackson Institute through core teaching programs and courses focusing
on global affairs, public lectures and career counselling.

The interdisciplinary, flexible
courses are designed to be
rigorous, academically-speaking,
but also to engender a compre-
hensive practical understanding
of the impact global affairs have
on communities.
MAJORING
IN GLOBAL
AFFAIRS
Students who choose to major
in Global Affairs at undergradua-
te level are equipped with the
research tools in social science
that they require to be able to
understand and solve complex
global challenges. Admission
is competitive, with around 60
places available each year. The
course includes a unique oppor-
tunity to complete a real-life
public policy project through the
Capstone Course.
