  3. 3. Spiritual maturity is aprocess that begins when a personaccepts Jesus Christ as Savior. He or she is born again of the Holy Spirit andthen chooses to live "in Christ."
  4. 4. "Not that I have already obtained all this, orhave already been made perfect, but I press onto take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. ..… Philippians 3:12-14
  5. 5. Romans 12:1-2"Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of Gods mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God - this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conformany longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. ..
  6. 6. Accomplishing Growth Spiritual maturity is learning how towalk in obedience to God
  7. 7. 2 Timothy 2:15; 3:16-17 instructs us, "Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, aworkman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth…All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training inrighteousness, so that the man of God may bethoroughly equipped for every good work.
  8. 8. Therefore, in order for Christian maturity todevelop in your life, you must makea choice to learn Gods Word, allow God to renew your mind, and then be obedient to what you have learned…
  9. 9.  Spiritual maturity should be our priority "Anyone who lives on milk, being still an infant, is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness. But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use havetrained themselves to distinguish good from evil“ - Hebrews 5:13-14
  10. 10. “Our Destiny is to become mature or grow…”
  11. 11.  Spiritual maturity is living in Christ
  12. 12. 2 Peter 1:3-9 reminds us that God is the source. "His divine power has given us everything we need for life … For this very reason, make everyeffort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self- control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love.
  13. 13. 1 Tim. 4:7…train your self to be godly. Forphysical training is of some value ,butgodliness has value of allthings, holding promise for both thepresent life and the life to come -Phil. 2:12

  15. 15.  Maturity requires TIME!
  16. 16. James 1:3-4…the testing of your faith developsperseverance. Perseverance must finish itswork so that you may be mature andcomplete , not lacking anything…
  17. 17.  Don’t becomediscourage by Mistakes
  18. 18. How often doesa child fall while learning to walk? They fallagain and again
  19. 19. If kids are going to become mature, they haveto keep going in spite of mistakes and rebukes. Andsomeday they willlook back on their own childishmistakes and just smile.
  20. 20. Accomplishing Growth Spiritual maturity should be our priority Spiritual maturity is living in Christ TIME and PATIENCE Maturity requires TIME! Don’t become discourage by Mistakes
  21. 21. The wonderful thing about being insubmission to Gods maturing process is thatyou will be changed! You dont have to worryabout becoming mature. God does thechanging! He will conform you to the imageof Jesus Christ as you humbly surrender toHis Holy Spirit and learn His Word.
