Double page spread analysis
1. Columns - At first I mistakenly
placed my columns in the middle of
the page (over the folding point). I
then re-fixed my columns and
placed them away from the folding
point into a more viewable part of
the image making it easier and more
practical to read.
I sourced my background image from Google
images. I chose this image because this person
was the one (Andy C) who I had in mind whilst
writing out my questions and answers in the pre-
production leading up to creating my double page
spread.
This is the magazines title, I researched into other
Drum & Bass magazines and I found that on all the
interview pages, the magazines title was located
somewhere on the page (most commonly in the top
left).
I made ‘Andy C’s’ title the largest text
on the page, due to it being the name
of the actual interviewee. I placed it
in the top right because this is usually
the first thing a person sees when
they first turn over the page.
I used two different fronts for my
text, I used a larger font size and
capitalised the questions and also
highlighted them in red to stand
out. For my answers I used a
smaller text (mainly to fit it in)
and I also highlighted the text in
white so it stood out from the
main image
