Diocletian Reforms <ul><li>Reform – a change to make things better </li></ul><ul><li>Divided the empire into four parts – why? </li></ul><ul><li>Named officials for them but really ruled all </li></ul><ul><li>Set wages for workers to slow inflation </li></ul><ul><li>Ordered workers to stay at jobs until they died – why? </li></ul><ul><li>End Result : Reforms fail – why? </li></ul>

Constantine Reforms <ul><li>Sons had to do their fathers job – why? </li></ul><ul><li>Did not help the decline in the west </li></ul><ul><li>Moved the capital to a new city in the east – Constantinople – modern day what? </li></ul><ul><li>Built many public buildings </li></ul><ul><li>End Result: Reforms fail in west, work in east. The Capital moves to the east!!! </li></ul>
